The tournament began March 17 with a "Luck 'o the Irish" welcome party. After much blarney and frolicking through the shamrocks and Paddywacker shots of courage, the Park City team withstood all the obstacles, winning the tournament and various other awards for sportsmanship, tenacity and endurance. A Tax breaks for fuels Utah's lawmakers are offering a tax break to Utahns who switch to cleaner-burning fuels in their vehicles and home woodstoves and fireplaces. To encourage individuals and businesses to reduce air pollution, the 1992 Utah Legislature approved a 20 percent individual income tax credit for the purchase of new clean-fuel clean-fuel vehicles or conversions of old vehicles to burn approved clean fuels. In addition, the law allows a 10 percent tax credit for the cost of installing cleaner-burning fireplaces or woodstoves. Utah individuals or businesses may receive up to a $500 credit for purchase of each new dedicated clean-fuel vehicle or up to $400 for each vehicle conversion. The clean-fuel clean-fuel category includes natural gas, propane, electricity or other fuels approved by the Air Quality Board or the 1990 Clean Air Act. Up to $50 in tax credits are available to Utahns who install clean-burning stoves, natural gas or propane free-standing fireplaces and solid-fuel burning devices certified by the Environmental Protection Agency. Gas-flame fireplace logs will not be eligible for the credit. These credits may be claimed on Utah's individual Income tax return. To verify the conversions to cleaner fuels, the taxpayer must attach to the return a completed state certification form. Those who buy clean-burning woodstoves must use form TC-40F to verify the purchase and people or businesses converting vehicles to clean fuels or buying new clean-fuel clean-fuel vehicles must verify those purchases using form TC-40V. Clean-burning stoves include pellet or high-mass wood stoves, which have very thick walls that radiate heat over long periods of time. A pellet stove resembles a regular woodstove, but rather than burning logs, it automatically feeds the fire with wood pellets that resemble rabbit food. , For information regarding eligible equipment conversions, call the Department of Environmental Quality, 536-4000. To obtain copies of tax forms TC-40F TC-40F or TC-40V by telephone, call the Tax Commission at 5304848 within the Salt Lake metro area or toll-free 1-800-662-4335. Select the "Order Tax Forms" option on the automated telephone menu. Forms are also available at Tax Commission offices and in other places where tax forms are available, such as libraries and the IRS offices. .For Gfmi Park City Office 1 750 Park Avenue Park City 84060 (801) 649-4400 lei PREMIER, INC.
