Wilford and the late Estelle Mecham Poulson, whose engagement to Alfred LaVere, son of Mrs. Agnes Harrison of Provo, is made known. The marriage is expected to take place March 15, In St. George, Utah. Miss Poulson has attended Brig'ham Young university for three years and was affiliated with the LaDeja social unit. Mr. Harrison attended the "Y" for two years and is now employed at the Douglas Aircraft at Santo Monica, Calif. The couple will make their home in Santa Monica, y Bride of Saturday Mrs. Henrie S. Muceus, nee Mildred Moe, whose marriage to Mr. Muceus was an event of Saturday, the quiet wedding being held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. a nd Mrs. E. O. Moe. Mr. Muceus, instructor in music at the North Davis Junior high school at Clearfield, Utah, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Muceus of Ames, Iowa, who were here for the nuptials. Edward O. Moe, elder in the Reorganized L. r. S. church, and a brother of the bride, performed the ceremony at high noon. The bride wore a black tailored, suit, witti ' -Jite- accessories, and a cosag-e - of -gardenias. A wedding dinner immediately followed, 20 guests being served. Pink and white sweet peas and a beautifully trimmed wedding cake adorned the dining table, and pink tapers were in crystal holders. Pussy willows and sweet peas were arranged about the rooms. ' The newlyweds slipped away during the afternoon for a short trip, after which Mr. Muceus will return to his school and Mrs. Muceus will remain here for the time being. The bride is a graduate of the Provo 'high school and a former student stu-dent of the B. Y. U. She is a member of the Epsilon chapter. Delta Theta Chi. For the past three years, she has been employed in the alterations department of the J. C. Penney store. Mr. Muceus has been teaching at Clearfield for two years. He received his degree from the University of Powa at Ames, and taught there for three years before coming to B. Y. U. for additional work. Stokes. Couple Wed In Temple PAYSON In a marriage performed per-formed in the Salt Lake temple Wednesday, Miss Kathryn Hor-ton, Hor-ton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horton of Santaquin, became be-came the bride of Ralph Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Dal-ton Dal-ton of Payson. The bridegroom's parents and his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Dalton, accompanied ac-companied them to the temple. A wedding reception was given Friday night in the Santaquin junior high auditorium. In the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs Otis Horton, Mr. and Mrs. LcRoy Dalton, the bridal couple, and bridesmaids, Pearl Dalton, Erma McKell, Emogene Hill and Erna Robbins. The bride's gown was of white brocaded laffeta and with it she wore a finger-tip veil and car ried & bouquet of rosebuds and White sweet peas. The attendants wore formal gowns in pastel shades with corsages of roses and sweet peas. The flower girl and boy were Thelma Dalton and Bob by Horton. In charge of the gift room were Mrs. Maud Hall, Pauline Christensen, Plomo Chadwick and Stella Peterson. They were assisted assist-ed by Miss Von Dalton, Miss Carol Page, Miss Alene Dunn and Miss Beverly Davis, dressed In formal gowns. Refreshments were served and dancing enjoyed by the guests. The couple will reside in Los Angeles, where Mr. Dalton is employed em-ployed in the Bank of America. Among the pre-nuptial parties was a personal shower for the bride, given by Pearl Dalton, Emogene Hill, Erma McKell and Erna Robbins. Invitation to Provo Club The Jaycee Dancing club members mem-bers of Provo, are cordially invited in-vited to attend a dancing party being given by the Springville Jaycee Dancing club, Saturday evening, March 1, at the Memorial hall in Springville. R.C. Adamses Complimented Mr. and Mrs. George S. Ballif were hosts at a dinner party Friday Fri-day evening at their home, honoring honor-ing R. C. Adams, superintendent of the Department of Utilities, and Mrs. Adams, who are leaving Provo to reside in Des Moines, Iowa. Guests included Dr. and Mrs. Vasco M. Tanner, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harmon, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Calder, Mayor and Mrs. Mark Anderson, and Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Brockbank. Daffodils and pussy willows were combined in decorating. B.Y.U. Hansen. - Leaving For Mission; Feted Mrs. Heber Clark, assisted by Mrs. Otiss Frazier, entertained in honor of her son, Ernest Clark, at a delightful farewell party Friday Fri-day evening at the family home. The young man is leaving soon for an L. D. S. mission in the Ha-wiian Ha-wiian Islands. The affair was in the form of a going-away shower, and many ?ifts were presented to Mr. Clark. Alma Boyden announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lyle, to J Lorenzo Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel F. Smith of Mesa, Arizona, recently of Snowflake, Ariz. March 8, has been set as the date of marriage in the L.D.S. temple at Mesa. Miss Boyden attended the B. Y. U. for two years and is a member of-the Nautilus social unit. Mr. Smith has filled an L. D. S. mission in the central states and is a junior at the University of Arizona, at Tucson. The bride-elect plans to leave March 3, for Phoenix, Ariz., where she will spend a few days with relatives.
