The diplodicus skeleton is still arriving in crates and museum director Alvin Hamblin said that they hope to get the new stcgosaurus in for Dinosaur Days on Aug. 17. There is also a room geared towards the Indians and mountain men who first lived in the mountains and valleys. In another room is a display about the native plants and animals, many of which the indians and mountain men ate and trapped to survive while living in the basin. Also featured are local relics of the early Ashley Valley. Old watches from Mayor Leonard Heeney, the first X-ray machine introduced in the valley and other items of local interests are displayed. The Dinosaur Gardens is unique because of the life-size dinosaurs and green foliage. Featured in the gardens is a tyranosaurus rex and diplodicus and nine other prehistoric creatures. The museum and gardens are self-toured, allowing a visitor to take as much time as wanted to see the sites. For other visiting attractions, the Travel Information Center is located on the east side of the museum.
