Aug. 28. Dr. Larry and Jean Wilcken have a new daughter, Anne Marie, who arrived arriv-ed April 30. Grandmother Crystal Wilcken has been helping out at the home. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wilcken of Roosevelt and June Hoen, who is presently serving ser-ving an LDS mission in Connecticut. Maeser 4th Ward relief society has new officers. Released were Karen Coombs and her counselors. The new president is Mary Gardner, with Donna Don-na Bowden and Betty Burnson as counselors, with Diane Adams remaining re-maining as secretary. Paul Peterson, Scott and Susan Peterson are at home from BYU for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Walker, Trenton Tren-ton and Andrea ; the Terry Tullis family fami-ly and Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Tullis gathered at the senior citizen hall in Salt Lake City and were joined by the Roger Tullis family of Granger; the L. Floyd Tullis family of Payson; and Vaughn and Fae Chapman of Salt Lake City for Lamon Tullis' 75th birthday bir-thday party on May 1. Robert and Peggy Nicholson's little Tamara Gerry arrived at the Ashley Valley Medical Center May 2. Andrea with Granddad Gus Batte of Madison, Wis. and aunt Dorothy Syrjanen of northern Wisconsin, were at home to welcome the new little baby girl. Granddad and Aunt Dorothy came to help out in the home and stay and visit a while. Boyd and Enid Hatch traveled to Provo May 2 where they met Mr. and Mrs. High (Glee) Girsberger, Cheryl and Mechelle Glee, of Walla Walla, Wash., and Glenn Girsberger, who had just returned from his Tulsa, Okla., LDS mission. They attended the BYU track meet to see Philip Girsberger run. He took first in the 880, his team took second in the mile relay, Philip recently returned from Taiwan's National Na-tional Track and Field Invitational with 44 other teammates. Boyd and Enid also visited Roark and Becky Janis and their son, Craig. In Lehi the Hatches visited at the Jerry Hatch home and attended the Meadow Elementary School May dance festival with Jessica, Katie and Nathan Hatch. Saturday, May 4 they all met at the Lehi City Park for a picnic, pic-nic, where Kathie Jenkins and children from Monroe joined them. Alan and Barbara Phillips have a fourth daughter, Mariah Deon, born May 4 in Provo. Barbara's mother, Sharon McKnight from Heber City has come to help out the family. Grandpa Boyd McKnight will arrive Sunday. Other grandparents are Glen and Isabela Phillips of Pleasant Grove, Utah. Douglas Mecham of Ogden visited with his parents, Lynn and Betty Mecham, when he was in Vernal on business last weekend. Bob and Pat Christofferson from Salt Lake City visited with Arvid and Oral about 10 days recently. Merlin Mott from Canyonlands near Moab visited his mother over the Mother's Pay weekend. Maeser girls have outstanding school spirit'. Lori Hatch is a cheerleader at Vernal Jr. High; Robyn Reed and Julie Larson are flag twirlers; Lynette Mecham, Sonya Phillips and Coralou McKenzie made the drill team at UHS, with Lisa Janes and Nancy Allen hanging in there.
