He will be deployed from there. He is on active duty until March 2014. Jorgensen graduated from Park City High School in 2008 and spent one year at Salt Lake Community College before choosing to go into the military. He went to Marine The Crescent Tramway boot camp March 22 in San Diego and graduated on June 18. Following graduation, Jorgensen trained at Camp Pendleton in combat engineering. Jorgensen was number two to the iron man in his class of 300 Marines. His family says he loves his country and loves volunteering for communityservice projects. The photographer, Utahn C. R. Savage, is best known as one of the photographers at the joining of the transcontinental railroad in 1869. In the late nineteenth century, photographers such as Savage often focused their lenses on emerging technologies such as the railroad and mines. As a resident of Salt Lake City, Savage naturally found his way to Park City, where he photographed the mines, buildings, and railroads. A commercial photographer, he would sell photos, such as this one, as postcards or souvenirs. Visitors at this time of western expansion saw technology as progress, and were very interested in witnessing it firsthand.
