Barton says it was a "fabulous run" for the show. He says the final 12 performances were sold out. Upward of 80 percent of the seats were filled for the other performances. Parkites, people from the Wasatch Front and tourists from outside of Utah attended, he says. A Fireworks set off in Park City to mark Pioneer Day The Park City Police Department received at least three complaints about people using fireworks on Pioneer Day or the days surrounding the holiday. Someone on Paddington Drive called the police at 9:49 p.m. reporting people were lighting fireworks on Sunday, July 25. Meanwhile, on Saturday, July 24, which was Pioneer Day, the police received a 9:59 p.m. complaint about kids lighting fireworks on Mountain Top Lane. They were in a dry field, the police were told. On Thursday, July 22 at 11:13 p.m., fireworks were reportedly being shot off on Geronimo Court. The police were told the people were using bottle rockets and firecrackers. Utahns celebrate the state holiday, which marks the date Mormon pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley in 1847, with fireworks. Other incidents reported to the Police Department last week included: • On Sunday, July 25, police officers handled a suspected alcohol offense on King Road at 11:39 p.m. Public police logs did not provide details about the case. • Someone called the police at 11:24 p.m., reporting that a sound system was left on a loud volume on the 800 block of Main Street. The Police Department said officers warned the business not to play the loud music. The police indicated a citation could be given if the business continues to play the music loud. • At 9:50 p.m.. the police were called to lower Iron Horse Loop, where kids reportedly were turning off a power box, shutting down electricity to nearby apartments. The police were told as many as 20 kids were involved. • Someone lost a wallet on a bus sometime before 8:08 p.m., when the person went to the Park Avenue police station to report the missing wallet. • A skateboard was reported as stolen at 3:18 p.m., with the case being reported at the skate park at City Park. • A wallet was reported to have been lost on Main Street at 1:07 p.m. • Someone contacted the police at 10:39 a.m., telling dispatchers that a license plate had been taken from a vehicle on the 1800 block of Park Avenue. • At 9:48 a.m., the police received a report about a hose being egged on Holiday Ranch Loop Road. The episode occurred the previous night, the police were told. • A police officer came across two women, reported to be intoxicated, on Main Street at 1:15 a.m. Taxis were called for them. • On Saturday, July 24, the police received a report from the Deer Crest area at 1:13 a.m. of a deer jumping out of the way of a car. The animal, though, then tumbled down a cliff and was injured, the police said. • The Police Department handled a suspected drunken driving case close to the Heber Avenue-Swede Alley intersection, with police logs indicating the driver was close to the Old Town transit center. The logs did not provide details. • On Friday, July 23 at 5:17 p.m., a piece of heavy machinery reportedly lost a tire on the 1700 block of Prospector Avenue. The backhoe was blocking a lane of traffic, the police said. • On Thursday, July 22, a bat reportedly flew into a house on Solamere Drive at 11:06 p.m. • At 9 13 p.m., three kids, estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old, were seen throwing rocks at a building on the 700 block of Main Street, the police said. One of the rocks went through an open window and hit a person inside, according to the police. The person was not injured. • A man was reportedly seen with an unleashed dog on Prospect Avenue at 8:39 p.m. There was an argument between the man and another person, the police said. • A suspected drunken driving case was reported on S.R. 224 at 5:33 p.m. • The Police Department received a complaint about a suspected case of shoplifting on the 500 block of Main Street. The person left the store. • On Tuesday, July 20 at 11:26 p.m., mailboxes were reportedly knocked over on Sun Ridge Drive. The police classified the case as criminal mischief, but public police logs did not provide details. • Graffiti was found in the pedestrian-bicyclist tunnel close to the Bonanza DriveDeer Valley Drive intersection at 8:53 p.m. • The Police Department received a complaint at 6:01 p.m. about a dispute between roommates. One of them told the police the other one destroyed a television valued at $1,200. The roommate punched holes in the television, the police were told. • On Monday, July 19 at 5 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported close to the Woodbine Way-Munchkin Road intersection. Earlier that day, the police received an unrelated report of a hit-andrun accident, with the case called in at 1:29 p.m. from the 300 block of Swede Alley.
