The band had three different songs. They played two out of the three at each school. The names of the songs the band played were "The London Symphony," "The Sousa Melody March" and "Covington Square.,t They played the "Sousa Melody March" at all four schools and switched off with the other songs. The orchestra played "The Turkish March," "Symphony No. 15," "Baroque Suite" and "Brandenburg Concerto No. 2." Mrs. Tuke, their teacher, and Mr. Rea, the band teacher, have done a lot of work since the beginning of this school year. They have worked hard. These teachers and students traveled with their counselors to four different schools in three days. The first day, the 19th, they went to Muir Elementary in the morning and Boulton Elementary in the afternoon. The second day, the 20th, they went to Bountiful Elementary in the afternoon. The third day, the 21st, they went to Valley View. In addition to hearing these students play, the counselors talked about registration and about Mueller Park Junior High. All these kids got out of school and had some fun while their friends were "pushing the pencils" back at their own school. We'd like to congratulate these kids and would like to wish them good luck in the band and orchestra festivals coming up. The orchestra festival is on April 5, and the band festival is April 26. Good Luck!
