Show Youths fall 120 feet in Adam's Canyon By JANIS STUART FARMINGTON One youth broke both of his ankles, and one youth suffered from hypothermia after a fall in Adams Canyon. While free climbing with a group on Friday, Kris Mansfield, 17, plunged down a 120-foot hill, striking strik-ing the ground several times and then landing in a creek at the bottom. He landed on his feet, causing caus-ing two broken ankles, one of which was an open fracture. Christine Treasure also tumbled down the hillside, receiving several bruises. She suffered from hypothermia after landing in the icy water at the bottom of the hill. At the moment the call was received by South Davis Sheriffs Dispatch personnel. Officer Neil Wagner equipped himself with medical equipment and began hiking hik-ing into the area. Search and Rescue, the mounted posse and Life Flight were also summoned to the accident.
