Show Open house slated for Gov's Honor Students SALT LAKE CITY An open house for students interested in making application for the 1990 Governor's Honors Academy will be held Saturday in Spanish Fork. The open house is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Little Theatre at Spanish Fork High School. Students, parents and counselors are invited to attend the informal gathering, which will be hosted by Southern Utah State President Gerald R. Sherratt. Held for the first time last year, the Governor's Honors Academy is sponsored by Governor Norm Bangerter and SUSC, where the 13-day 13-day event takes place. The Academy is open to Utah high school students entering 11th and 12th grades. Participants are students who demonstrate excellence through academics, leadership, extracurricular extra-curricular activity, personal achievement and community service. Participants will be guests for a July 8 Utah Symphony Orchestra concert in the SUSC Centrum. They will also attend a Utah Shakespearean Festival and American Fork Ballet performance, and will be honored by Governor Bangerter at a July 20 graduation banquet. ban-quet.
