Show A Very Special Arts Festival' set ' . ; - , J I 1 til South Davis Mutual for the Handicapped Han-dicapped presents its annual production pro-duction Thursday, April 19 and Friday, Fri-day, April 20 in the Bountiful North Stake Center, 1 540 N. 400 E. As the title 'A Very Special Arts Festival" indicates, this year's show is a talent festival. Audience will be treated to song, dance, drama and poetry taken from some of the best-beloved musicals. Prominent performers from the South Davis Community have directed the individual selections, and they will also perform with the handicapped youth. The South Davis Mutual for the Handicapped is comprised of members, ages 12 to 50, who suffer from some physical or mental disability. As an organization, the mutual provides social opportunities, oppor-tunities, religious training and opportunities op-portunities to grow and share talents. tal-ents. In this year's production the youth have made tremendous strides as they have learned to sing, dance and act under the direction of professional coaches from the community. Involved in directing and performing per-forming are Jim Bevan; Julie Shaffer, Barbara Balnap; Sugar and Spice, which includes Shannon and Kathee McCall, Jodie Swindenman and Alisha Nelson; Brent Wheadon, Raelynn Anderson and Dave Marc-ves. Marc-ves. Several mutual staff members are also directing segments, including Kathee Greeno, Ann Haacke, Mary Jean Welker and Marty Enmann. Carol Hutcheson, Young Women's president, who is co-directing co-directing the overall show with Jack Bailey, Young Men's president, mades this comment, ' We are tremendously excited about this year's program.
