H Centerville public works facility plans set By TOM HARALDSEN CENTERVTLLE--A formal closing clos-ing is scheduled for tomorrow on $695,000 in bonds which Centerville Center-ville City will use to construct a new public works facility in the in dustrial park area west of Interstate-15. Interstate-15. City council voted 4-1 earlier this month to approve a resolution on the bonds. Council is now scheduled schedul-ed to award a bid for construction of the facility during its regular meeting next Tuesday, March 6. The resolution calls for a lease-purchase lease-purchase finance agreement between be-tween Centerville and the Municipal Finance Agency, with $695,000 in bonds to be sold to finance construction of the new building. The city's current public works facility is adjacent to city hall. It has outgrown its usefulness, and officials offi-cials feel moving the facility will help remove some unsightly equipment that currently is visible as people enter the city's gateway on Parrish Lane. If all goes as planned, construction construc-tion on the new facility will begin April 1, with a September 1 move-in move-in date planned. Formal action by the council next Tuesday is necessary before construction can begin and bonds let out on the project |
