Show School Board meets FARMINGTON One of the shortest meetings in the recent history of the Davis County Board of Education was held last Tuesday evening. The only items of business on the agenda were the adjustment of school boundaries between Farming Farm-ing ton and Kaysville junior highs and Sunset, Syracuse and North Davis junior highs. These changes had already passed the first reading agenda with no opposition, so final adoption of the committee recommendations recom-mendations was done in a matter of seconds. The same fast action was taken on some career ladder evaluation amendments. Consent agenda items were routine. There was no legislative update because Superintendent Richard Kendell and Board President Lynn Summerhays, along with DEA representatives, rep-resentatives, were all at the Capitol trying to lobby for their points of view and to determine just what was happening. The meeting started at 5:30 p.m. and was adjourned at 6: IS p.m. |
