Show Else M. Hansen CENTER VTLLE-Else Margrethe Svendsen Hansen died at home Jan. 29, 1990. She was bom May 28, 1903 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Immigrated Im-migrated to the U.S.A. in 1920. Married Edmund Carl Hansen Jan. 8, 1925 in New York City, N.Y. Built a home in Belleville, N.J., where two sons were bom. Ed- i i i - w mund Earl and Irving Carl. She lived in Belleville until the death of her husband in 1961, after which she joined her eldest son and became part of an Air Force family that served throughout the world. The Hansen family settled in Centerville in 1974, and Else became active in senior citizen activities volunteering vol-unteering many hours of service to shut-ins and visiting nursing homes. After a year of deteriorating health, she suffered a series of strokes that left her paralyzed for the last 15 -months of her life. She is survived by her sons, Edmund Ed-mund Hansen, Centerville and Irving Hansen, Bountiful; seven grandchildren, grand-children, Joy, Julie, Lisa, Richard, Kay Lyn, Steven and Eric; 17 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; her brother, Poul Torkel Svendsen of Lyngby, Denmark; Den-mark; her sister, Margrethe Lydicksen, Roosevelt Hospital, N.J. Services were held at the Lind-quist's Lind-quist's Bountiful Mortuary Feb. 2. Interment was in the Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. |
