Show New pastor at Cross of Christ Li 4 . l BOUNTIFTJL-The Reverend Steve O. Scheiderer has accepted a call from Cross of Christ Lutheran Church of Bountiful to become its Pastor. He will assume his pastoral duties following installation at a public service at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 18. y Pastor John M. Petersen, president presi-dent of the Rocky Mountain District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, will participate along with other Lutheran clergy in this special service. Pastor Scheiderer who has served St Paul Lutheran Church, Sigel, comes to Bountiful from Grace Lutheran Church in Paris, Texas, and its sister congregation in ClarksviUe, Texas. He is excited to come to the Intermountain West to proclaim the "Good News" of w salvation through Jesus Christ. Pastor Scheiderer received his bachelor of arts degree from Christ College Irvine in June 1980 and entered Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind. that falL There he earned his master of divinity degree in March 1984 and his master of sacred theology degree in March 1985. His vicarage year was served at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School, In-gle In-gle wood, Calif. He and his wife Lynn, married Aug. 27, 1983, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, La Puente, Calif. They are the parents of a son, Timothy, and a daughter, Terri. Cross of Christ has been holding evening worship services, but will return to Sunday morning services on Feb. 25. REV. STEVE SCHEIDERER |
