"It is vital that children receive the medical care they need," said Dwan Young, chair of Primary Children's Board of Trustees. "Through generous donors and special events such as this golf tournament, Primary Children's is able to provide medical care to children regardless of their ability to pay. We appreciate the individuals in-dividuals and corporations who are supporting this event," said Young. PARK CITY Hot Rod Hundley, the well-known voice of the Utah Jazz and partner in local sports restaurants that bear his Q name, is hosting a celebrity golf tournament to benefit children at Primary Children's Medical Center. The tournament, called the Hot Rod Hundley Celebrity Golf Challenge, will be held at Jeremy Ranch, July 20 through 21 and will be presented by Coca Cola. The event will feature a gathering of 56 nationally-known celebrities from the sports, entertainment and broadcast industries such as Terry Porter, Don Nelson, Wilford Brimley, Steve Young, Ed Marinaro, Gayle Sayers, Tyrone Corbin, Jim Plunkett, Elgin Baylor, Jerry Tarkanian and Jim Nantz. "I am pleased and excited to have such a group of celebrity players coming to Utah to help raise funds for children at Primary Children's Medical Center," said Hundley. "This event will provide our corporate and individual sponsors spon-sors an opportunity to play a great golf course, enjoy being associated with an outstanding group of celebrities and help a worthy cause." The golf challenge kicks off on Sunday evening, July 19 with a "Quick Draw" Party at Hot Rod - Hundley's Restaurant on Highland Drive. Sponsors will draw for a different celebrity playing partner for each of the two days. The golf tournament is Monday and Tuesday, Tues-day, July 20 and 21 at Jeremy Ranch. Ran-ch. The public is invited to attend the golf competition. Tickets are $5 for the two-day tournament and will go on sale at both Hot Rod Hundley Restaurants, Smithtix outlets, and Primary Children's Medical Center. Each day there will be opportunities for spectators to receive autographs from celebrities. Sponsorships are still available for the event.
