Show tree Air Show slated for June 27 HUX AIR FORCE BASE The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and many other attractions will be on display to the public at no charge as part of "Utah's biggest tree air-show" air-show" on June 27. Performing in their red, white and blue F-16 Fighting Falcons, the Thunderbirds will highlight the day's activities. Another major feature will be the static display of an F-117A "Stealth" fighter, which played a prominent role in Operation Desert Storm. Many additional military aircraft will be on view. Numerous other activities will take place continuously during the 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. open hours, including flybys, demonstrations, exhibits, bands, singers and dancers. Food and souvenir concessions will also be available. The new Hill Aerospace Museum will be open at no charge. Hill normally hosts an air show every two years. The last one, in 1990, marked the 50th anniversary of the northern Utah base, which employs more than 17,000 military and civilian personnel. |
