Show . n - L Natalie Home wins handwriting contest Two members of the Home fami-ly fami-ly of Bountiful have been chosen as - winners of the Zaner-Blosser Handwriting Contest Natalie and Nicole Home, daughters of Richard and Debby Home, attend Valley of the elementary grades one through six. Natalie won the National Zaner-Blosser Zaner-Blosser Handwriting Contest for Grade 3. Her entry was chosen from thousands of entries from schools all over the United States. A Certificate Cer-tificate of Merit was awarded to Natalie at a special awards assembly held June 10 at Valley View. She will also receive a $500 savings bond. Each member of Natalie's class was given a T-shirt which stated that "Zaner-Blosser's 1992 National Handwriting Contest Winner Is in My Class' Natalie, her parents, her teacher (Joan Behunin), and the principal (Roy Warren) also received T-shirts. Nicole won the schoolwide Grade 1 contest. She won a School Grade-Level Winners Certificate, which was presented to her at the awards assembly on June 10. She is a student in Mrs. Green's class. According to a Deseret News article ar-ticle quoting Karl Hans, the national product manager of Zaner-B loser, the criteria used to judge the handwriting hand-writing contest included the size, shape and slant of each letter, spacing spac-ing between letters; and smoothness of the handwriting.
