Show Twin Stars elect new officers at annual dinner your calendars now for an entertaining entertain-ing and inexpensive family activi- ty" The Twin Star Riding Club welcomes new members who own horses and are interested in joining. The club meets each Wednesday evening during the summer at the fairgrounds where members practice prac-tice drills and riding events. With such a large variety of events in which to participate, almost anyone can find something they enjoy. New members can also learn skills and horsemanship from other members. FARMINGTON The Twin Star Riding Club held its annual dinner and elections of club officers Feb. 8 at the Davis County Fairgrounds. Members elected Gary Perkins, president; Lee Stenquist, vice president; Rex Beazer, secretary; secre-tary; Sue Lewis, treasurer; Darlene Randall, historian; Don Sides and Dan Lewis, one-year directors; Cliff j Goble and Ronald Randall, two- ; year directors. j The Twin Star Riding Club is a group of Davis County horse owners and riders who enjoy riding and competing together. j At the dinner, a trophy was awarded to Laurie Sides of Farm-ington Farm-ington for accumulating the highest points during 1991. Dan Lewis of Bountiful received the men's high point trophy. Lewis also accepted a trophy for his horse Stormy. Don Sides of Farmington received the Jim Henry trophy award for his time and effort in planning and supervising the new Davis County Fairgrounds. At the Utah State Western Riding Club Association Jamboree held in Provo Jan. 25, Lewis received the High Point Man of the State in 1991 by accumulating the most points from all three competitions of the year. The Twin Stars will participate in regional competition to be held at the Davis County Fairgrounds Aug. 28, 5-10 p.m. and Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The public is invited to attend this competition free of charge. Flat racing, team events, and humorous events such as wild cow milking and trailer racing are a few of the exciting events involved at the competition.
