Show Loesch chosen top director of nursing ,( ::i:::$:::::' ' '--:-::v-: voSviSi IBOUNTIFUL--Marion (Monty) Loesch, of Lakeview Hospital, was recognized as HealthTrust, Inc.'s Western Region Outstanding Nursing Nurs-ing Director of the Year at the company's com-pany's third annual management conference held recently in Nashville, Tenn. Lakeview Hospital is an affiliate of HealthTrust, Inc., one of the country's largest employee-owned companies. Loesch has been director of nursing nurs-ing at Lakeview Hospital since it opened in September 1976. Lakeview replaced South Davis Community Hospital', where Loesh had served as director of nursing beginning in 1969. "Nurse staffing was a major concern of the new hospital since it was only 15 minutes from Salt Lake City, where seven major hospitals were experiencing nursing shortages," shor-tages," said Lakeview Hospital Administrator William P. Moore. "HoweverMooty had no difficulty staffing Lakeview when it opened in 1976. During the past 13 years, the hospital has never experienced a nursing shortage." Loesch has received numerous citations and awards for her leadership leader-ship abilities. This is the second time she has been named outstanding outstan-ding nursing director. "She knows her nursing staff on MONTY LOESCH a personal . basis- and understands' and meets their needs," Mr. Moore ; said. "The 70 specialists on Lakeview's medical staff admire, respect and support Monty. She helps keep morale high, and patients consistently rate the nursing nurs-ing care they receive at Lakeview Hospital as above average or excellent." |
