Show the lie?! miuissc Wish ful's back! Wishful Think-mg, Think-mg, just back from an L.A. recording re-cording session, did a fantastic job last week at Mother Earth. Wish-ful's Wish-ful's more together now than when they split for die coast. Also featured last week were two other local groups: Henderson Witch and leuras (pronounced ik-cr-us). Mother Earth is an over- 8 place that's gaining popularity every week. It's located under the orange light at 816 South State (around in back). Wishful Tliink-ins Tliink-ins is back to do another show there this week, leuras will also be there. leuras is sort of the "in-resi-dence" group at Mother Earth. They've got a lot of talent and will no doubt also be heading out to the coast one of these days to do some recording. But right now they're doing some heavy gigs at Mother Earth. The place opens at 8 p.m. Music starts at 9 p.m. And please leave peacefully at 1 a.m. when they close. There was some trouble trying to get some people out last Saturday at closing time and one of the owners was assaulted. as-saulted. One more thing: Mother Earth is now open on Thursdays from 8 p.m. to midnight with leuras performing by themselves. Price is one buck for the guys and die chicks (if they're with a guy) get in free. On Friday and Saturday Satur-day nights admission is $1.50 Buck Owens. America's number one country music artist, will be performing tonight at Highland High School with 7 and 9:30 p.m. shows. The Buckaroos, Owen's "top country band" will be backing him up. Appearing also will be singers Susan Rayc and Buddv Alan. Oh. wow. |
