Show i (Q) urn igyfl W What's left? Editor: In yesterday's Chronicle, you seemed to praise Dr. Harold F Hirth, associate progessor of biology, bio-logy, for his recommendation to farm turtles. r Farming has been a major cause of ecological damage to the earth, why are we not so enthused about doing the same thine to our oceans? When the land,"air, space and oceans are polluted, what have we left? Rene Dauquin 5? 3 After all Editor: Why is the University so interested inter-ested in saving the Coalville Tabernacle? Taber-nacle? It seems to me that we have no business whatsoever involving in-volving ourselves or our money in that project. The decision is up to the people in Coalville, and the Tribune reported that Sunday they voted overwhelmingly to have it razed. Johnnie Weston Poor feed poor Editor: Do something about it. A 62-year-old man was arrested yesterday for grand larceny for stealing food stamps, by the county sheriff who stole over $50,000.00 in the past four years from the prisoners' food allowance. But there are no charges against our sheriff. Trant Harris Lots of luck Editor: I have great admiration for President James Fletcher, but I do not think it in the best interest of the University to grant him a leave of absence of two years. The University would, I think, be placed in a two-year limbo period with the administration wondering, wonder-ing, "how would Fletcher handle i this if he were here," instead of forging ahead on new programs.
