Show It All Came From The Mouth Of Nixon Mr. Bernhardt? Mr. Bernhardt, "you're not being realistic!" I believe that anyone has the right to oppose Mr. Nixon's state-. state-. ments, or for that matter anyone elses statements, in a legitimate manner. However, Mr. Bernhardt has twisted Mr. Nixon's statement to say something, which was not stated by Mr. Nixon nor is it true. 1 Now I challenge you Mr. Bernhardt Bern-hardt to name your candidate for the Presidency in 1968 and I'll take one of his statements and twist it until I make an ass out of him. Robert Hart Editor : After reading the article by John Charles Bernhardt, it seems to me that he is just a bit out of line. Who is this Mr. Bernhardt to say that Mr. Nixon doesn't realize "that black people are just as good as white people." He follows this by calling Nixon a racist. I realize that this campus is not a stronghold for Richard Nixon, but Mr. Bernhardt has turned an economic eco-nomic statement by Nixon into the idea that Nixon is a racist which is not true. As far as starving babies goes, there are other ways to handle the conditions in cities as opposed to federal spending as the answer to all the problems. Mr. Nixon still believes in a little free enterprise and individual initiative, do you Mr. Bernhardt? Also in reverence to the supposedly suppos-edly starving babies, Mr. Bernhardt, Bern-hardt, how is it that in one sentence the babies all become black. Are there no starving white children or poor white children in your scheme |
