Set for Sunday, the program outgrew the Union Ballroom last year and will be in Kingsbury Hall. Yule Choral Slated Utah Department of Music. It is directed by Dr. Hales (Chorus and Chamber Choir), Dr. Newell B. Weight (A Cappella), Thomas D. East (Freshman Ensemble) and J. Marlowe Nielson (Men's Chorus) all of the Department of Music. The University Department of Music will present its annual Christmas Christ-mas Choral Festival Sunday, - December De-cember 10 at 3 p.m. in Kingsbury Hall. Everyone's invited admission is free. The Choral groups A Capella Choir, Men's Chorus, Freshman Ensemble, En-semble, University Chorus and University Uni-versity Chamber Choir will present pre-sent a wide range of Christmas melodies from peasant carols to high church music, according to Dr. Forrest D. Stoll, professor and chairman of the Department of Music. "Two numbers by the combined choruses will highlight the concert," says Dr. Stoll. For the first work, "Pueri Hebraeorum," an antiphon-al antiphon-al composition py Randall Thompson, Thomp-son, half of the performers will be in the balcony and the other half on stage to achieve the desired echo effect. "Carol Fantasy" (arranged (ar-ranged by Charlene Snow and Normand) will feature Thomas D. East, assistant professor of music, as tenor soloist and an all-student brass quartet. Dr. Bernell W. Hales, associate professor of music, will conduct the combined choirs. Other program selections include "Ave Maria," by Rachmaninoff; "Carol Noel," by Wilhousky; "Evensong," "Ev-ensong," by Haydn; "Sancta Maria, Mar-ia, Mater Dei," by Mozart; "Alle-lui," "Alle-lui," by Bach; "Sleigh Ride," by Anderson and Ades; "Holy, Holy," by Mendelssohn; and Virga Jesse Floruit," by Bruckner.
