Wyoming humiliated Arizona State . . . New Mexico won rather handily . . . Arizona got dumped that's the story of how Utah's Western Athletic Conference rivals did against conference and non-conference competition. The Cowboys of Wyoming took an early jump in the WAC race by defeating Arizona State, 23-6, 23-6, in Laramie. The Pokes now hold a one-game lead over ASU and a half -game lead over everybody every-body else. The Utes have a chance to upset the Cowboy applecart ap-plecart when they go to Laramie to face the Pokes in a couple of weeks. Brigham Young, expectedly, beat San Jose State, 19-9 and proved themselves to be the team |
