Show LDS Students Recognized, Now 2 Groups Lambda Delta Sigma, the L.D.S. social, split this summer into a men's fraternal, Pi Beta and a women's organization Lambda Delta Sigma. Tonight will mark their first open rush at 5:30 p.m. in the East Institute followed by a dance at 8 p.m. While the organizations or-ganizations closely follow the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, all students are welcome to attend regardless of their religious affiliation. af-filiation. Both fraternities will be putting put-ting more stress on campus activities ac-tivities and participation while working on a program to effectively effect-ively improve its members academically. aca-demically. Over a period of years, Lambda Lamb-da Delta Sigma has been a social so-cial club for many of the L.D.S. students enrolled in universities in the western states. At the University Uni-versity of Utah chapter, most of the leadership and responsibilities responsibili-ties of the organizations have been turned over to the students rather than the faculty of the Institute of Religion. |
