Show Lady Firemen hete 25 -Year Members In July, 1923, Mrs. Lula Yither and Mrs. Ethel Smith were duly initiated into the Ladies Society of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Locomo-tive Firemen and Enginemen, with the late Mrs. Harriett Faw-cett Faw-cett as president. Their continuous contin-uous membership for one-fourth Mrs. Smith Mrs. Yiiher of a century was recognized by the presentation of a solid gold 25-year membership pin, September Sep-tember 17th, 1948. Mrs. Yither and Mrs. Smith were very active in the early days of the organization here, having held important offices for a number of years and meeting and olbigations and requirements require-ments promptly. During that time, Mrs. Yither spent some time in Salt Lake but did not transfer to the Salt Lake Society. Mrs. Smith lived the entire 25 years in Milford. Both ladies are very proud of their continuous continu-ous membership and can recall many interesting incidents that have occurred through the years. When their husbands were i promoted and joined the Brotherhood Broth-erhood of Locomotive Engineers, Mrs. Yither and Mrs. Smith i joined also, and are now active in that division, as well as main- : taining their membership in the B. of L. F. & E. |
