Show REPORT CARDS Now is a good time to think about Report Cards. The faculty is thinking about drawing up a new type of card for reporting the comparative progress of students stu-dents in various classes. Some thought is being given to the importance im-portance of Including a space for grading each student as to his citizenship and social attitudes. The first report cards will not be given until the end of the ninth week, but it may be well to remind all students that their conduct at the present will be considered with their conduct of each succeeding day in determining determin-ing the degree of progress to be on each card. This year most students have made a most commendable start with scholastic work; however some few students have yet to make a valid beginning. Some boys, who have expressed determination de-termination to become eligible for athletics, have not manifest ' by their willingness and actions any sincerety inthis implied 'determination. 'de-termination. Others have shown marked interest and are doing work which will insure their eligibility to participate in all school activities. Now is the best time to consider con-sider the matter of eligibility for competitive athletics and also for serving in an elective capacity capa-city on the Student Council. In order to encourage all students to do their best each day and not wait until the end of the term, we plan to include a reminder re-minder about student cards and grade in the Hilltop Echo. . MR.
