Show Of Interest to Women MR. AND MRS. FRANK JONES were hosts at a dinner Inst Saturday evening, for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Atkin and Allen; Mr. and Mrs. Loraine Gillins and Keith, and Mrs. Shir-lene Shir-lene Barnes. After dinner, the gruop enjoyed en-joyed making candy. MRS. HENRY FARMER, entertained enter-tained the Past Presidents of Sego Lily Division No. 500, Wednesday, September 22, with a very delightful two-course luncheon. The table was very pretty with its centerpiece of asters. Mrs. A. H. Connell assisted as-sisted in serving. The afternoon was spent in chatting and sewing. Members present were Mrs. Varn Shingleton, Shingle-ton, Mrs. Grover Cuddy, Mrs. W. G. White, Mrs. Glen Barnes, Mrs. James Holm, Mrs. A. H. Connell, Mrs., Owen R. Smith, and ,the hostess. The October meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Glen Barnes. MRS. HAZEL HILLMAN entertained en-tertained her bridge club last Wednesday evening. The ladies enjoying the evening eve-ning of bridge were Mrs. Kate McDonald, Mrs. Loretta Cline, Mrs. Mildred Coon, Mrs. Merle Carlson, Mrs. Ruby Vogt, Mrs Jeanette Kohler, and Mrs. Verge Goodwin was an invited guest. Mrs. Goodwin, Mrs. McDonald and Mrs. Vogt received prizes. A chicken salad course was served at 11 o'clock by the hostess, host-ess, Mrs. Hillman. LAST FRIDAY night pinchole was played at the home of Mrs. Mary Gribble, by the members of her club. Prizes were won by Mrs. Marjorie Schramm, Mrs. Bobbie James and Mrs. Pauline Rummler. Other members present were Mrs. Billie Stoker, Mrs. Jane Firmage, Mrs. Lilldan Mellor and Mrs. June Thompson. Mrs. Gribble served a tasty luncheon at midnight A BIRTHDAY PARTY and dinner was given in honor of Mrs. Beryl Crum, Mrs. Dorothy Kizer and Mrs. Zona Robb, last Tuesday evening, at the home of Mrs. Gertrude Melhuish, with Mrs. Lula Yither, Mrs. Jean Hickman and Mrs. Maurine Miller Mil-ler assisting with the gala affair. Favors of little Chinese salt and pepper shakers were given terpiece was of candy dishes filled with delicious candy, and later the dish was given to the lucky guest whose number on the salt and pepper 'shaker corresponded cor-responded with the number on the candy dish. After dinner, hearts was played, with Mrs. Ilene Barnes, Mrs. Crum and Mrs, Anna Mae Hickman winning prizes. Other guests present were Mrs. Ezebell Cox, Mrs. Lucille Belliston, Mrs. Beth Edwards, Mrs. Dixie Lamb and Mrs. Vvs Baxter. |
