Show REV. STEPHENS LEAVES FOR INDIANA PASTORATE , Members and friends of the k Methodist Community Church were surprised Sunday morning with the news that Rev. and Mrs. Stephens and baby were leaving this week for a pastorate in Indiana. In-diana. Rev. and Mrs. Stephens made a most favorable impression in the three weeks they have resided in Milford, and it is with genuine regret that the church members see them leave. Mr. Stephens has been in the West nearly two years and both he and his wife are homesick for home, so in accepting the pastorate in Indiana, Indi-ana, they will be close to home and within 10 miles of Purdue University, where he can continue con-tinue post-graduate work. He informed the congregation in his last services in Milford Sunday that he liked Milford and the people of Milford very much, and only the advantages of a pastorate in his home state induced in-duced him to leave Milford. He thanked the congregation for the warm friendliness and many courtesies extended to him and his family, and regretted leaving leav-ing Milford before having a chance to accomplish the many plans of helping in the church and in the Lord's work. He asked that the prayers of the congregation congre-gation be extended to him that he may be of the utmost service in the new community to which he goes. The church" members and friends wish him every success suc-cess in his new venture. Because there will be no church services, Mrs. Wilson will hold the Adult Bible Class at 11:00 a.m and all that are interested inter-ested are cordially invited to attend. The class is most interesting. interest-ing. Sunday School Services at 10:00 a.m. as usual. i |
