Show Hospital unveils new lab wing The veil will be lifted from Utah Valley LDS Hospital's new million-dollar laboratory Thursday, when citizens from throughout Utah County will hospital's facilities and capacity capac-ity were doubled. The completion comple-tion of the lab represents the second largest addition in the hospital's history. Instances of lead poisoning have been decreasing the past few years but if you have young children at home beware of paint which contains lead. Children will eat almost anything any-thing and paint is no exception. Never touch an appliance and a water faucet at the same time. John Bunyan, English author. be invited to a special open house to commemorate the completion of the new facility. The open house, slated from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. will showcase show-case a number of facilities contained con-tained in the new hospital wing. Included are departments in cytology, histology, hematology, hematol-ogy, microbiology, a blood bank and other facilities. According to Hospital Administrator Ad-ministrator Grant Burgon, the new laboratory will provide "unexcelled services" to doctors and their patients throughout Central Utah. He said plans and ground-breaking for the facility were begun under the direction of former Administrator Administra-tor John Zenger and were carried car-ried through to completion following fol-lowing his retirement. "We want to extend a special spec-ial invitation to all citizens throughout Central Utah to attend at-tend this open house," Mr. Burgon Bur-gon said. "Families are welcome wel-come to inspect the facilities and we want them to know that hospital personnel will be on hand to assist them in any way possible." The addition of the new laboratory lab-oratory is the latest in a series of improvements the hospital has seen since its inception in 1939.
