Show Deer hunt set October 18-28 Utah's Board of Big Game Control set the annual general deer season for October 18-28 for animals of either sex; there were variations to this basic hunt set for 15 areas. Deer in several areas will see hunters for a longer time as 16 day hunts were set for three units and parts of four others. These seasons will be October 18 tc November 2. Five day hunts for deer of either sex will be held on the Heaston, Tintic, Vernon and Mineral areas. Longest hunt in the state will be held on the Delores Triangle Tri-angle from October 18 through November 16. Oak Creek will be closed again this year as poor fawn production has influenced deer numbers. Too many deer for the winter win-ter range cropped up this year and the board took actoin to work on the problem by authorizing auth-orizing 3050 control deer permits per-mits for this and to aid in other range management problems. |
