Show Unhappy One of the oddities in the news this week is a letter from an unhappy former resident res-ident who received a sample copy of the Springville Herald Her-ald sent out recently and forwarded to her address in Logan. The receiver was charged 7c forwarding fee. "Since I was not home when the paper was delivered I ended up paying a 7c postage post-age fee. "As I have no fireplace or coal stove, I have no use whatever for your paper. Next time I receive a "sample "sam-ple copy," you will receive a postage fee to Logan and back to Springville!" We are sorry for the forwarding for-warding fee but our unhappy receiver could have saved another an-other 6c on the postage to mail the letter except that human nature being what it is, the opportunity to let us know of the situation probably pro-bably was too great to pass up. Some blame might rest with the postal department which does not usually forward for-ward this class of mail unless un-less requested. |
