Sweet golden nuggets nug-gets of pineapple and crunchy chopped nuts are blended in flavor by brown sugar butter. Great eating out-of-hand, or "fancied up" with a scoop of ice cream and served on a plate. cup milk cup drained crushed 1 cup biscuit mix pineapple 2 tablespoons melted butter (8 or 8 oz. can) 3 tablespoons sugar cup chopped nuts Cinnamon Add milk to biscuit mix and shape into soft ball. Roll thin, about Vi inch, on lightly floured board, working a little flour into dough surface to prevent sticking. Place on cookie sheet and spread with melted butter. Sprinkle half of sugar over surface. Spread pineapple over the pastry. Top with the remaining sugar and nuts. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Bake in a preheated pre-heated 450 oven for 15 minutes. Cut into 6 wedges and serve hot. Note : This recipe may be doubled to serve twelve. |
