I I . few. .v.-. ; - ,.t - ; j , : ; - V . - - . - Christine Child Daryl Strong Junior High 'Citizens of the Week' Daryl Strong Bert and Harriet Strong are the parents of this week's citizen. cit-izen. Daryl, who is the youngest young-est of seven children and a good example of the old adage, "Last is best of all the game." Because of his father's business, bus-iness, Daryl has had an opportunity oppor-tunity to travel quite often in keeping her room clean and her clothes pressed and mended. In school, she is enthusiastic about German and business but is a good student in all of her classes. She has been a song leader at the junior high this year. Christine has many ideas about her future but has not settled on any one as yet. She wants to wait and see what high school brings. She knows that academic achievement is important and works hard to keep her grades high. Church activities keep Christine Chris-tine quite busy. Summer brings softball and other out-door sports in which Christine gets involved. Keeping busy keeps her out of trouble and happy. With a good outlook on life and a pleasant smile and bubbling bub-bling personality, Christine fills the requirements for this week's citizen. with his dad. He has been in New York, Montreal, Chicago and other important areas. He says traveling is his hobbby. Two years ago he was a member of the All-Star Little League team and went to Santa San-ta Monica, Calif., where his team took third place. He likes all sports and enjoys participating partici-pating in them. Daryl likes music and plays the piano. He works on wood-carving wood-carving and building, as a hobby. hob-by. The yard work is his responsibility re-sponsibility along with keeping keep-ing his room tidy. And even if he does say it, he keeps a pretty neat room. Algebra and English are his favorite school subjects and he is thinking of engineering as a .career. As for being a good citizen, Daryl said, "I read the rules and I have made it a habit not to breakth em." Christine Child Christine Child is the youngest young-est daughter of Earl and Lois Child and is the choice this week for outstanding citizen at Springville Junior High. Being Be-ing the youngest in the family does have advantages. There are not a lot of home duties; therefore, Christine can concentrate con-centrate on her music and school work and social life. She plays the piano and is currently cur-rently taking guitar lessons. She loves to golf and ski, enjoys en-joys sewing, and takes pride |
