Show Mapleton City Council handles varied items at regular meet City council members met in session April 15 in the Maple-ton Maple-ton council chambers in regular regu-lar meeting. Ralph Home, the county extension agent, presented pre-sented 120 names of citizens signing up for garbage collection col-lection and the council instructed instruct-ed him to proceed with those signing for the service to pay $2.00 per month. Carl Carpenter and Larry Alsup were present and discussed dis-cussed the water situation as it pertained to the Central Utah Water Conservancy District, for which they represented. Pat Neeley, city engineer was present to discuss the city's culinary water needs. He reported the need for larger pipe lines from Center to the west portion of the city. A further water line plan will be presented at the next council meeting. Anyone desirous of obtain-ing obtain-ing a building permit should present his plans to the planning plan-ning commission and in turn they will present their recommendation recom-mendation to the council to act upon. Anyone not complying with tris procedure will be subject to a penalty of five times his building permit fee or will be refused the utilities of the city. Keith Roylance, councilman, moved that the proposed development de-velopment of Martin Palmer and Associates be approved subject to stipulated requirements. require-ments. Other detailed business included in-cluded a discussion of landscaping land-scaping and improvement committee com-mittee formation, checking to see if Bushman parcels of ground to be used as roads were deeded to the city, authorization author-ization of Kent Wheeler to cut trees on city property areas. |
