Show fee Hte The spirit of fiesta will pervade the Springville Art Building Saturday, April 27, when the second annual Fine Arts Ball climaxes Art Month in Springville. Highlighting the spring social season will be the Fine Arts Ball, a semi-formal affair, which will feature, decorations, refreshm e n t s, and entertainment carried out in the festival theme in keeping with the Spanish architecture ar-chitecture of the building. Specialty numbers arranged for the floor show, include novelty instrumental duet by Eli Tippetts and Brent Johnson entitled "Spanish Flea." Eight couples from the Lyman Dance Studio will present an authentic Spanish dance and international inter-national waltz in costume. This group of dancers will " travel to California in November No-vember to compete in the White Star Ball. This is a competition in ballroom dancing. - " i V i - s ! - - . " ' : I i ; ' " t . ' As a finale to the 44th Annual National April Art Exhibit which has been underway un-derway during the month, the Art Ball will include music by the Dick Long Orchestra Or-chestra in' costume and a roving photographer who will take candid photos as well as souvenir pictures of those attending1. Membership climax The ball is sponsored each year by the Springville High School Art Association as a culmination to its annual membership fund drive. There will be no charge for art association members. Nonmembers are cordially invited and will be charged a small admission fee. Of special interest to those attending will be the awarding of several paint- DIRECTING PLANS for the Fine Arts Fiesta Saturday evening at the art building build-ing are, left to right, Mrs. Jack Allen, Mrs. D. LaK ell Johnson, Mrs. Cecil J. Zimmer man, Mrs. Max Alleman, Mrs. Nicl Whiting. Whit-ing. The semi-formal event will highlight social activities of the season and will mark the close of the membership drive for funds. |
