Show Funeral services held here for G. W. Friel Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday forenoon in e Third-Ninth Ward Chapel, for Garnet W. Friel, 89, retired re-tired railroad man, who died Monday, April 15, at Utah Val-y Val-y Hospital. Bishop T. Melvin Haymond of the Ninth Ward, Presided. Burial was in the Springville' 'y Cemetery, directed by1 Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Friel was born Sept. 29, (Cont. on back page, col. 3) W 1 G"n W. He married La-Priel La-Priel Snelson, June 14, 1911 in Salt Lake City. Mr. Friel was employed as a brakeman for the D and RGW Railroad for many years. He was a member of the D&RGW Railroad Club and a former member of the Springville Lions. Li-ons. A member of the LDS Church, he held the office of high priest. Survivors are his widow of Springville; one son, LaMar Friel of Orem; and two grandchildren. grand-children. Ah, the good old days when your kids nickeled and dimed you to death, now you're overdrawn over-drawn and quartered. |
