Show Senior 'Student of the Week' I Karla Shepherd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Shepherd, Shep-herd, is this week's senior student stu-dent of the week. Karla has made a great contribution to the spirit of SHS for the past four years. She has been a cheerleader since ninth grade. This year she was the head varsity cheerleader. In connection connec-tion with her cheerleading activities ac-tivities for the past two years, she, along with the squad, has attended two national cheer-leading cheer-leading clinics where the SHS squad earned ribbons and a second place trophy for its talent. tal-ent. Karla has also been active in clubs. She is a member of the Ski Club and GAA where she has participated in gymnastic gym-nastic competition. She enjoys sports and sewing. Throughout high school, Karla Kar-la has been honored with the titles of "Sweetheart Ball Queen," "Junior Class Art Queen," and she was this year's Homcoming Queen. She has also participated on the Junior Prom decoration committee. She was a home room representative in her soph omore year and a finalist in the Americanism theme contest con-test in her junior year. She also al-so participated this year in the Youth Conference at BYU. Karla will be a fourth year seminary gradute this spring. Her future plans include attending at-tending BYU. She will major in physical education, with plans to teach physical education on the secondary level. f Karla Shepherd |
