Show Boyers, Walkers return from Hawaii Mr. and Mrs. Paul K. Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Boyer have just returned from a delightful 13 day's vacation to Hawaii. They toured the four largest islands and while at Laie visited the LDS Temple and attenled church services with Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Jar-vis, Jar-vis, sister and brother-in-law of Mr. Boyer, who are guides at the Bureau of Information at the temple grounds. Also at Laie, they visited at the P olynesian Culture Center for an intimate glimpse into the daily life of the Polynesian people of Hawaiian, Fijian, Maori, Samoan, Tongan and Tahitian cultures. A spectacular spectacu-lar show with 150 of these people peo-ple participating was enjoyed. The Springville tourists were fortunate enough to be in Honolulu Hon-olulu during the time of the historic birthday celebration of King Kamahameha, the "Conqueror" "Con-queror" of the islands and also the honored chief who united the people into one central kingdom. En route to San Francisco, visits were made at the home of Mrs. Lew W. Beason, sister of Mrs. Walker; and Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Donithorne, a daughter of the Boyers. |
