Crandall, stake president. ' Creation of a new Thirteenth ; Ward was made by divisions of the Fifth, Seventh, Tenth and Fourth Wards. Members who reside in the Thirteentn Ward include those living ea st of Seventh East on Center Street and North of Center Street to Fourth North. Edward Holmes was sustained as the new ward bishop with Richard Schultz and Ridge Phillips counselors; James Reed, ward clerk and Dean Warren, assistant ward clerk. The ward has a membership member-ship of 586. Because of the divisions, the Fourth Ward boundaries were changed to include those living-east living-east of Second East and all north of First North Street to Seventh East. A new bishopric was sustained there also because be-cause of Bishop Howard Ivory leaving the ward to accept a U.S. assignment with the State Department in Pakistan. New bishop is John C. Patrick, with Robert W. Crandall and Milton Giles, counselors; Arnold Brown, ward clerk. Some 150 members were transferred back into the Seventh Sev-enth Ward on a boundary change of the Seventh Ward. The Seventh Ward boundary dividing the two wards was changed to Eighth East. These members were formerly in the Seventh Ward prior to the last change which put them into the Fifth. The Seventh Ward boundary boun-dary is now the east side of Eighth East south, of Center and north of Fourth South. Two new counselors to Bishop George Puckett had to be named because of the division. They are Benny Killpack and Carl Carpenter. Although some 59 members of the Tenth Ward were shifted into the Seventh Ward, there was no change in the bishopric of the ward. Fourth, Tenth and Thirteenth Ward members will attend church in the Fourth-Tenth Ward and bishoprics are presently pres-ently working out their respective respec-tive meetings for the three wards. |
