Show Seals one of eight swim teams now enjoying planned program The BYU Dolphins consist of some of the better swimmers in the valley and they enter various var-ious AAU competitions. They work out quite often in the BYU swimming pool under the direction of BYU swimming coach Walt Cryer. He has been the man behind the Dolphin group, and was also instrumental instrumen-tal in organizing the Utah Valley Val-ley Summer Swimming League. The local organization behind the Seals is directed by a president, Judy Robinson and other members. The program offers a tremendous tre-mendous opportunity for children child-ren in the aquatic sport. Only two weeks of competition have elapsed and so there is still time for parents to enroll their children if they desire. There are teams enrolled in the league from Provo, American Ameri-can Fork, Springville, Payson, Pleasant Grove, the Riverside Country Club, Orem, and Spanish Span-ish Fork. Dual meet competition will conclude the last week in July and a combined meet including all eight teams will be held August 3 and 5 in the Brigham' Young University swimming pool. A team chmpion will be crowned at the conclusion of the final meet involving all eight teams. Dual meet results will help determine the overall champion of the league. ' The dual meet competition involves some 44 swimming events for swimmers of age groups up to 17 years inclusive. So there is plenty of room for everyone desiring to compete, and no youth will be cut from the squads. There are four racing age groups in the league including eight years and under, nine and 10 years, 11 and 12 years, and 13 through 17 years.
