Show Milford Carter dies here; rites in Provo Funeral services for Milford Carter, 72 of 600 South 200 East, who died of a heart ailment ail-ment and extended illness May 4, 1966, at the home of his son Kenneth, will be held Saturday Satur-day at 11 a.m. at the Berg Drawing Room in Provo. Bishop Bish-op Morgan Thomas of the Springville Second Ward will officiate. Friends may call Friday evening eve-ning from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday Sat-urday prior to the services in the Berg Mortuary at Provo. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery. He was born April 12, 1894, at Aurora, Utah, the son of Ezra and Julia Gordon Carter. He married Maude Smith Dec. 24, 1913, in Provo. She died March 30, 1954. As a young boy, his parents moved to Provo where he attended at-tended schools there. He lived in Provo until 1957 when he moved to Springville to live with his son and family. He retired in 1959 from the D&RG Railroad where he work for 44 years in the maintenance main-tenance department. He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing fish-ing as his hobbies. He was adept at gardening. Surviving are six sons: Albert, Al-bert, Calvin of Orem; Kenneth, Floyd, Springville; Arvil, of Kearns; Verl, Oakland, Calif.; 40 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Eva King, Provo. |
