MendenhaH Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., in the Mapleton Ma-pleton Ward Chapel, for Aaron B. MendenhaH, 72, who died Wednesday May 4, 1966, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Bee) Jensen at Magna. Mag-na. Friends may call at Wheeler Mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., and before the services Saturday. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. MendenhaH was born Aug. 3, 1893, a son of John and Eliza Tew MendenhaH. He lived most of his life at Mapleton Ma-pleton taking part in community commun-ity and church affairs. He was a veteran of World War I and was a retired employee em-ployee of Geneva Steel. For a number of years, he had been agent for an insurance concern. Mr. MendenhaH served an LDS mission in the Eastern States before his marriage. He has held numerous positions in the various organizations organ-izations and has been a speaker speak-er at many functions. He served serv-ed as clerk of his ward for a number of years, under two bishoprics. His wife, Senate Johnson Mendenhall whom he married May 5, 1920, in the Salt Lake Temple, died Dec. 31, 1965. Surviving are four daughters and a son, Bruce Mendenhall, Mapleton; Mrs. Loyal (Janice) Hastings, Orem; Mrs. Kenneth (Bee) Jensen, Magna; Mrs. He-ber He-ber (Gwen) Mehr, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Dave (Lorraine) De Young, Fullerton, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; five brothers, Byron Mendenhall, Payson; Barney Mendenhall, Salt Lake City; Thomas Mendenhall, Raymond, Ray-mond, Alberta, Can.; William Mendenhall, Cedar City; Harvey Har-vey Mendenhall, Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Mrs. Deseret Berry, Rexburg, Idaho. The U.N. reports that Tokyo with a population of 8,302,565, is the world's largest city; New York with 7,781,984, is second, and Shanghai and Moscow are third and fourth. |
