Show pwwnmwwnJ,,)yi.iijLvmiil muiwjiwbmu.uwi, "mum i : ... : Jay Haymond, professor at Dixie College, will give paper at Colorado State University Jay Haymond to represent Dixie at meet Professor Jay Haymond of Dixie College will be one of 200 delegates from colleges and universities throughout the Rocky Mountain area attending attend-ing the annual Rocky Mountain Social Science Association Convention Con-vention May 6 and 7 at the campus of Colorado State University Uni-versity at Fort Collins. He will represent Dixie College Col-lege as discussants of papers that will be p resented during the sessions. Mr. Haymond will consider a paper concerning James West Arrot, the moving spirit behind the restoration of Fort Union in New Mexico. Established and maintained by Union forces during the Civil War, Fort Union played a significant sig-nificant role in the Union's strategy to thwart Confederate Confeder-ate influence in the west. Mr. Haymond is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Melvin Haymond. Hay-mond. His wife is the daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Douglas Bills, Mapleton. |
