Show Funeral services j here today for Rov Savacze 1 f j f Funeral services will be held - today (Thursday) at 1 p.m., in 3 the Third-Ninth ward chapel for John LeRoy Savage, 74, who j died Monday, May 2, 1966, at I the Utah Valley hospital. Bishop Melvin Haymond of the Ninth ward will be in charge. Friends may call at Wheeler d Mortuary before the services. f Burial will be in the Evergreen j - cemetery. i r A retired railroad engineer, ! 1 Mr. Savage was born September ' 5 26, 1891, in Milford, a son of ; - William and Mary Jane Kinder i Savage and married Helen Hed- i man on May 27, 1915, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was I later solemnized in the Manti LDS temple. , Mr. Savage had been a resident resi-dent of Springville since 1922, and had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad company. Steel Corp., at the Ironton plant as a railroad engineer for 35 years, retiring in 1955. He was a high priest in the LDS church at the time of his death. Surviving are his widow, five sons and daughters, Mrs. William Wil-liam ( Hazel) Clyde and Frank LeRoy Savage of Springville; John Savage of Kearns; Mrs. Terry (Janet) Selin of Schenectady, Sche-nectady, N. Y.; and Mrs. Ted (Marcilla) Woodhouse of Logan and 30 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lillie May Allred of Salt Lake City. |
