Show Springville-Spanish Colts lose to Cedar City in final games Cedar City pulled an upset double header victory in the finals of the sectional Colt tournament played at Spanish Fork last week, to whip a favored fav-ored Springville-Spanish Fork club 5-4 and 8-5 Monday night to win the meet. The Springville-Spanish team went into the final game undefeated un-defeated and would have chalked chalk-ed up a berth in the Provo I Western Regional Colt League championships, August 4, had they won that game. However, since the meet was a double elimination event, they played the Cedar City the second game, losing it also and giving Cedar the title. In the championship battle, Cedar came up with two runs in each of the first, sixth and seventh innings. Beardall, for the losers, tripled as did Hatch for the winners.
