This tournament has previously been played in Sage Creek all-stars will meet the Spring Creek all-stars in the opening game of the first round tournament in Springville Friday at 3 p.m. In the other game of the first day, Mill Creek stars will swing bats with the Tooele American all-stars at 5 p.m. To officially open the meet, Mayor Paul Haymond has been invited to throw out the ball. Sage Creek League will host the tournament for the two-day two-day event. Saturday games will be played at the same time with the two losing teams meeting at 3 p.m. and the winners of the first day meeting at 5 p.m. Committees named Grant Robbins and Don Lamb are co-chairmen of the WBBA tourney. Bud Schardine is chief umpire and chairman of the rules committee. Carlos Rife has been namd grounds keeper; Dora Lamb, official score keeper; Carma Sly, publicity pub-licity and advertising. Representatives of the various var-ious teams met with the city council last council meeting to give the mayor and city council coun-cil a special invitation to the games. Included in the representatives repre-sentatives attending were Vincent Vin-cent Hamilton, Lynn Robbins, Larry Lamb, Gary York, Bret Gledhill and Jerry Knight.
