Show Iflewi lfote5 . . . Mr. and Mrs. Ron Thorpe have returned from a vacaton trip to California, where they visited a son, Robert Thorpe, and wife and family at San Jose. They also spent a day in San Francisco in addition to touring the area around San Jose. They were gone twelve days and enroute home spent a day and night at Lake Ta-hoe. Ta-hoe. Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Men-denhall Men-denhall came from Las Vegas, Nevada, the past week for the annual Guy Mendenhall family reunion held at Kellys Grove. Mrs. Emma D. Russell of Berkeley, Calif., was a visitor in Springville recently, the house guest of her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver H. Balton. She also visited other relatives and friends in the state. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Clements and two sons, Michael and Thomas of Brick Town, New Jersey, left Sunday for their home after spending a month with Mr. Clements' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clements. Tom has been in New Jersey for the past 16 years working and is presently a senior chemist chem-ist technician with a chemical firm there. Visiting in Springvillo recently re-cently as guests of Mrs. Mary Schwartz, were Mr. and Mrs. Gi-ube of Hillsdale, N.Y., and Mrs. Grube's sister, Mrs. Mary Riessel of New York City. They were enroute home from a motor trip to California. Mr. and Mrs. Grube are the in-laws of Mrs. Schwartz' son, Tom, and they also visited with Tom and his wife in Denver. Approximately seventy members mem-bers of the Arthur and May Bird family were together for an annual summer reunion one day last week at Kelly's Grove. Visiting and lunch were enjoyed en-joyed with arrangements under un-der the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Russen Bird. Brent Bird exhibited a genealogy book on which he has worked many months. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird and family came from Midvale, Mr .and Mrs. Floyd Harmer from Payson; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Davis and family, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peterson Pe-terson and family , Orem; Dr. and Mrs. Jay Harmer and family fam-ily of Pleasant Grove, were among those from out of town. |
