Show Ladies Literary Club entertains guests An entertaining" prog ram and luncheon featured the closing clos-ing meeting of the Ladies Literary Lit-erary Club Thursday evening of last week, when members invited guests to the Social Center. President Melva Smith welcomed wel-comed those present and Helen Anderson offered grace. After the meal, a male quartet composed com-posed of Dean Oldroyd, Golden Hanson, Max Thorn and Forrest For-rest Allred, accompanied by Mrs. Oldroyd, entertained with several vocal selections. Bertha Ber-tha Johnson gave a short story. Attractive floral centerpieces decorated each long table on which were place cards for members and corsages for their guests, who included: Dorothy Christensen, Ella Reynolds, Glenna Bird, Wilna Allred, Helen Wright, Blanch Beal, Peggy Childress, Anna Johnson, John-son, Louise Gammell, Mae Fin-ley, Fin-ley, Mrs. J. L. Knight, Laurie Johnson, Betty Sumsion, Delia Sorensen, Merlene Schreiner, Luella Wilson, Blanch Ost-lund, Ost-lund, Maria Johnson, Jennie Sanford, Carolyn Rawle, Nettie Thorn, Mary Clegg. Hostesses for the evening were Melva Smith, Naomi Thorn, Bertha Johnson, Carrie Gammell and Belva Edwards. Mrs. Delia Clark of this city has received word that her grandson, Larry Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lamond Higbee of Winnemucca, Nevada, is convalescing from major surgery sur-gery in a hospital in Germany. He has been in service as an operator .clerk on contsruction in Germany for more than a year. He had a pin removed from his knee placed there six years ago, following an auto-, mobile accident.
