Show Springville man gets doctor's degree from U Joseph (Joe) W. Cranmer, 609 N. 3rd W., American Fork, formerly of Springville, is one of more than 573 student candidates can-didates for advanced degrees at its ninety-sixth annual commencement com-mencement of the University of Utah, June 11. Mr. Cranmer, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Cranmer, Springville, is a .candidate for a Doctor of Education degree. Advanced work towards the degree included a thesis entitled, en-titled, "Professional Preparation Prepara-tion and Teaching Assignments of Health and Physical Education Educa-tion Teachers." Mr. Cranmer, a 1944 graduate gradu-ate of Springville High School, received his B.S. degree from Brigham Young University in 1949 and his M.A. degree from the University of Wyoming in 1954. He is married to the former Doris Clark of Provo. They are the parents of three Children. He is presently a coach and physical education teacher in the Alpine School District. Mr. Cranmer will be one of the first graduates taking part in the University's new streamlined stream-lined and more personalized commencement ceremony. |
